I saw an article today that discusses a new material that has been created that can actually absorb bullets. It's a gel sort of material, and when the bullet enters the material, it swallows it up and seals it inside. This is being mentioned for armor, or bullet proof windows, and i think it's quite an advancement. Its lightweight, and i can only image how many different ways that material could help save lives. I also had a weird feeling when i was reading it that it could play a role in an art installation one day too. Like having an explosion inside a room made out of the material, so people could see an explosion but not get hurt.
