I found this article today that discusses the idea of making movies based on traditional board games.

I thought this was a great example of using different medias to portray the same basic idea. The article talks about how Battleship was the first of these types of movies to come out recently, and it was a huge flop... but it seems that the excitement of making blockbuster movies based on classic board games is still going around. They are thinking of making a monopoly movie, and a candyland movie! How neat!
