Vector Assignment

Here is my Vector Assignment for Multimedia Authoring! My inspiration for this piece is the tribal art that you see in Native American pieces. I haven't ever tried to play in that genre of art, but once i got started on this exercise i liked the way it was going and kept with it! I have never used Illustrator before, so i felt like this got me working with the program and making me more familiar with the process. I used a lot of the selecting the vector point and then dragging it. I liked the idea of pulling all the points of the letters to make sharp points, mixed with one or two soft spaces within the letters. The theme of the 'sharp' and 'soft' was also the inspiration for which letters i chose. I chose letters that are noticably softer than others, an S, U, and P. They  have a lot of curves and i wanted to change these letters to create something sharp that was originally something soft. I chose the outlines of the letters to be in warmer neutral colors like a sage green and rich plum, and then kept the fill in stark black to again play with that theme.
